We Are Your Beloved

Not every person knows whether he or she is indeed a child of God, especially in the beginning of their spiritual lives. This awareness is something that grows with time, love and knowledge. So, how do we know if we are a child of God? How do we know that we are His beloved? We read about this is Romans 8:16-17, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ, if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.” The Holy Spirit makes us aware of our adoption as children of God. The Holy Spirit surrounds us with love and makes us aware that we are never alone. It is a love that is hard to describe, but we know it will always be there. Just like a mother’s love. Strong, constant and dependable! This Mother’s Day and Youth Sunday, let us remember that God loves us so much and provides all that we need, same as our own mothers. They are both STRONG, CONSTANT AND DEPENDABLE. Praise God for that!!

Who We Are

Our Members of Session (Elders)

The Elders at First Presbyterian Church oversee and guide the entire life, mission, and ministry of the church as it seeks to glorify God and love our neighbors. Each elder has been identified as a person of Christian character and has accepted ordination into leadership in the church.

Practically, they provide for the worship, finances, building, education, mission, and outreach of the church, doing so by modeling faithfulness in all these areas. They are the servant-leaders of the church.
