That’s OK, I’ll Wait

This Sunday at First Presbyterian Church On this Third Sunday of Advent, we continue our sermon series Waiting Well with a message from Rev. Diane Flynn titled “That’s OK, I’ll Wait.” As Advent moves deeper, today’s service invites us to reflect on patience, trust, and hope when answers feel delayed. Our Scripture reading from Matthew 11:2–11 centers on John the Baptist’s question from prison — Are you the one who is to come, or should we wait for another? Jesus’ response reminds us that God’s work is often unfolding even when we struggle to see it. Through Scripture, music, and prayer, we listen again for the good news that light is breaking into the darkness, and God’s promises are still at work. Anthem: “Manger Song” — Adult Choir Worship begins at 10:30 AM, with Coffee Fellowship at 9:00 AM.

Who We Are

Our Members of Session (Elders)

The Elders at First Presbyterian Church oversee and guide the entire life, mission, and ministry of the church as it seeks to glorify God and love our neighbors. Each elder has been identified as a person of Christian character and has accepted ordination into leadership in the church.

Practically, they provide for the worship, finances, building, education, mission, and outreach of the church, doing so by modeling faithfulness in all these areas. They are the servant-leaders of the church.
