Inconvenient Truths

The people of God have always been given the great blessing of knowing the truth of our Lord. This blessing, however, can grow uncomfortable when shared with those who disagree, who oppose, and who aren’t afraid to mock and revile this truth. The prophet Jeremiah experienced this and Jesus warned His disciples that this would be true for them as well. Part of maturing in our faith, then, is find ways to faithfully speak inconvenient truths.

Who We Are

Our Members of Session (Elders)

The Elders at First Presbyterian Church oversee and guide the entire life, mission, and ministry of the church as it seeks to glorify God and love our neighbors. Each elder has been identified as a person of Christian character and has accepted ordination into leadership in the church.

Practically, they provide for the worship, finances, building, education, mission, and outreach of the church, doing so by modeling faithfulness in all these areas. They are the servant-leaders of the church.
