Rev. Scott Nowack - July 5, 2026

Our Battle, Christ’s Victory

This Sunday at First Presbyterian Church This Sunday we gather to reflect on the grace of God that meets us in the midst of life's struggles. Rev. Scott Nowack will share a message titled “Our Battle, Christ’s Victory,” drawing from Psalm 145:8–14 and Romans 7:15–25a. In Romans, the Apostle Paul speaks candidly about the tension between wanting to do what is right and wrestling with the reality of sin. Yet the passage ends not in despair, but in gratitude for the victory found in Jesus Christ. Psalm 145 reminds us that the Lord is gracious, merciful, and faithful, lifting up those who are burdened and sustaining those who call upon Him. Together, these passages encourage us to trust that while we may face daily struggles, Christ has already secured the ultimate victory. Anthem: “I Love America” — Senior Choir Worship begins at 10:30 AM, with Coffee Fellowship at 9:00 AM.
