Rev. Scott Nowack - June 28, 2026

A Matter of Life or Death

This Sunday at First Presbyterian Church This Sunday we reflect on the freedom and new life we have through Jesus Christ. Rev. Scott Nowack will share a message titled “A Matter of Life or Death,” drawing from Psalm 89:1–4, 15–18 and Romans 6:12–23. In these passages, we are reminded that Christ has set us free from the power of sin and invites us to live lives marked by righteousness, gratitude, and faithful obedience. Paul challenges us to consider who or what shapes our lives. Through Christ, we are no longer bound by sin but are called to walk in the freedom and purpose God has given us. This Sunday’s worship invites us to reflect on the daily choices that shape our faith and to celebrate the steadfast love of God that endures through every generation. Special Music: Amanda Conti Worship begins at 10:30 AM, with Coffee Fellowship at 9:00 AM.

Who We Are

Our Members of Session (Elders)

The Elders at First Presbyterian Church oversee and guide the entire life, mission, and ministry of the church as it seeks to glorify God and love our neighbors. Each elder has been identified as a person of Christian character and has accepted ordination into leadership in the church.

Practically, they provide for the worship, finances, building, education, mission, and outreach of the church, doing so by modeling faithfulness in all these areas. They are the servant-leaders of the church.
