The Gift of Unexpected Gifts

This Sunday at First Presbyterian Church On Epiphany Sunday, we celebrate the revelation of Christ to the nations and begin a new sermon series, Gifts That Keep on Giving, with a message from Rev. Diane Flynn titled “The Gift of Unexpected Gifts.” Our Scripture reading from Matthew 2:1–12 tells the story of the Magi — travelers who followed a star, trusted God’s leading, and offered gifts they did not fully understand at the time. Epiphany reminds us that God’s light often appears in unexpected ways and invites us to respond with faith, generosity, and wonder. Through Word, music, and communion, we gather to proclaim Christ as the light of the world — revealed not only to Israel, but to all people. Anthem: “Let Heaven and Nature Sing” — Senior Choir Worship begins at 10:30 AM, with Coffee Fellowship at 9:00 AM.

Who We Are

Our Members of Session (Elders)

The Elders at First Presbyterian Church oversee and guide the entire life, mission, and ministry of the church as it seeks to glorify God and love our neighbors. Each elder has been identified as a person of Christian character and has accepted ordination into leadership in the church.

Practically, they provide for the worship, finances, building, education, mission, and outreach of the church, doing so by modeling faithfulness in all these areas. They are the servant-leaders of the church.
