Why Are We Here?
This Sunday at First Presbyterian Church This Sunday we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the church through the story of Pentecost. Rev. Scott Nowack will share a message titled “Why Are We Here?”, drawing from Psalm 104 and Acts 2:1–21, where the Holy Spirit rushes upon the disciples like wind and fire, empowering them to speak, witness, and carry God’s message into the world. Pentecost reminds us that the church was never meant to remain still or silent. Through the Spirit, ordinary people were filled with courage, unity, and purpose. This Sunday’s worship invites us to reflect on the mission of the church today and the ways God continues to call and empower us. Anthem: “Come Holy Spirit” — Senior Choir Worship begins at 10:30 AM, with Coffee Fellowship at 9:00 AM.
