Finding Contentment in Fearful Times
This Sunday at First Presbyterian Church This Sunday we reflect on how faith sustains us when life feels uncertain. Rev. Scott Nowack will share a message titled “Finding Contentment in Fearful Times,” drawing from Genesis 21:8–21, Romans 6:1b–11, and Matthew 10:24–39. These passages remind us that even in moments of hardship, uncertainty, and fear, God remains present and faithful. In the wilderness, God hears Hagar and Ishmael and provides for their needs. In Romans, we are reminded that through Christ we are freed from the power of sin and made alive to God. In Matthew, Jesus encourages his followers not to be afraid, assuring them that they are deeply known and valued by God. Together these passages invite us to trust God's care, remain faithful in difficult circumstances, and discover a peace that is rooted not in our situation, but in God's presence. Anthem: Junior Choir Worship begins at 10:30 AM, with Coffee Fellowship at 9:00 AM.
