Dare to Build
Simon and Garfunkel got close to the truth when they sang, “I am a rock.” Where they missed out is that, as rocks, we are destined to be fashioned into a holy dwelling. Our lives (again, contrary to the song) are not solitary affairs, but rather a coming together to be made into something more than we could ever be on our own. Of course, building (or being built) is scary. Things could go wrong. The design might not work. We may not love the finished product. Basically, all the thoughts you have every time you put together Ikea furniture. Even still, we are dared to build.
