What’s in Your Hand?

This Sunday at First Presbyterian Church What has God already placed in your life that can be used for something greater? This Sunday, Rev. Scott Nowack will share a message titled “What’s in Your Hand?”, drawing from Exodus 3:1–15 and Matthew 16:21–28. Moses encounters God in the burning bush and is called to a task that immediately makes him question whether he is capable: “Who am I that I should go?” God’s answer is not a list of Moses’ qualifications, but a promise: “I will be with you.” In Matthew, Jesus challenges his disciples to move beyond simply understanding who he is and to live as his followers — denying themselves, taking up their cross, and following him. Together, these passages invite us to consider how God may call ordinary people, with what they already have, to participate in extraordinary work.
