Sermon: “The Gift of Public Witness” from Rev. Diane Flynn

This Sunday at First Presbyterian Church As we continue in the Epiphany season and our sermon series Gifts That Keep on Giving, Rev. Diane Flynn will share a message titled “The Gift of Public Witness.” Our Scripture reading from Matthew 5:13–20 includes Jesus’ familiar words: “You are the salt of the earth” and “You are the light of the world.” These images remind us that faith is not meant to be hidden or private, but lived in ways that bring flavor, healing, and light to the world around us. This Sunday’s worship invites us to reflect on what it means to live visibly as Christ’s people — to let our lives shine with compassion, justice, humility, and grace so that others may glimpse the goodness of God.
