Tear Down This Wall!
This Sunday at First Presbyterian Church Some walls are built from brick and stone. Others are built from hurt, resentment, fear, rejection, and years of separation. This Sunday, Rev. Scott Nowack will share a message titled “Tear Down This Wall!”, drawing from Genesis 45:1–15 and Ephesians 2:14–18. After everything Joseph endured because of his brothers, he finally stands before them with the power to respond however he chooses. Instead of revenge, Joseph moves toward reconciliation, telling them to come closer and providing for their family through the famine. Ephesians points us toward the same work of reconciliation in Christ, who breaks down the walls of hostility that separate us. Together, these passages invite us to consider the barriers we build between ourselves and others—and the healing, mercy, and new beginnings that become possible when those walls begin to come down. Special Music: “Abide With Me” — Candy & Sophia Brown Worship begins at 10:30 AM, with Coffee Fellowship at 9:00 AM.
