Striving through our Struggles
This Sunday at First Presbyterian Church Faith does not always mean avoiding struggle. Sometimes it means holding on, continuing forward, and trusting that God is present even through the longest nights. This Sunday, Rev. Scott Nowack will share a message titled “Striving through our Struggles,” drawing from Psalm 17:1–7, 15 and Genesis 32:22–31. In Genesis, Jacob wrestles until daybreak and refuses to let go without a blessing. He emerges from the encounter with a new name and a lasting reminder that his struggle has changed him. His story invites us to consider how God may meet us in our own seasons of uncertainty, persistence, and pain. Our struggles may leave marks, but they do not mean that God has abandoned us. Through them, we may discover new strength, a deeper faith, and blessings we could not have received any other way. Special Music: “El Shaddai” — D’Anna Nowack Worship begins at 10:30 AM, with Coffee Fellowship at 9:00 AM.
