Spirit of Life
The sending of the Holy Spirit is most certainly a dramatic affair. It is also the promise of a special wisdom and truth that will abide in every Christian. Yet the Spirit is, as the Psalmist makes clear, about more than merely intellectual growth or ascent. The Spirit is the very power of life. What, then, does it mean to find our lives in the Spirit? What does it mean to have a life lived in truth and wisdom? At the very least, it means eschewing a spirit of death and deception wherever it appears in our society, culture, and even churches.
