Newness Fulfilled
Welcome to the year of our LORD 2022. It is the time of year when traditionally we make resolutions to become a better person; quit smoking, lose weight, join the fitness club, and so forth. And traditionally, the resolutions don’t make it past the first month. Do we get a do-over for 2021? No, it is too late for that. But, we get a new year in which we can start afresh with God who has promised, even covenanted with us, to always be with us. It is rooted in YHWH’s inclination toward Israel early in the journey, that starts with Moses when God promises Moses that God’s steadfast love will be forever.
Scripture References: Jeremiah 31:7-14, Ephesians 1:3-14
