A New Position
The pronouncement of our death was made when Adam and Eve sinned against God. The rest of the Bible, however, reveals how frequently we forget this. David re-learns this lesson in his conversation with the prophet Nathan – and learns it about himself. This year, David’s repentance – including the great gift He gives the people of God in Psalm 51 – will guide our own facing of death and repentance.
