CloseIt would, I think most people would agree, be good enough of Jesus came, lived, died, and was raised and – through this – forgave all our sins and set us right with God. If this was everything He accomplished, we would still gather every week to raise our songs of praise like thunderous, crashing waves on the shore. But then God goes and loves us beyond our wildest dreams, promising to clothe us in power and assuring us of a surprise inheritance, an inheritance whose riches and glories the world has never seen before. On this Ascension Sunday, we will be reminded of who we have been made in Christ Jesus.
