Joseph's Movie: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

Clark Griswold’s Christmas is meant to be perfect this year, until his family commitments arrive. Wow, can Joseph relate to that! Christmas is a wonderful season, but it always has elements of disappointment to it. So, let’s be honest about all the potential disappointments so that they don’t detract from the blessings we are meant to receive.

Scripture References: Matthew 1:18-25

From Series: "Advent at the Movies"

In my household – and likely in yours – one of the great joys of the Christmas season is Christmas movies. Cold temperatures outside are warded off by the warmth of fun films, close cuddles, and blankets. Many of these films carry more than just good family memories; they carry the very character of Advent. Over the four weeks of Lent, you are invited to watch four classic Christmas movies and then engage these stories through the lens of the story of Advent. For best results, watch the movies/shows in advance of each Sunday.
