Cognitive Dissonance

Why do we do the things we know we shouldn’t? Is it habit? Is it a deep moral failing? Is it all relative and we should really just quit worrying about it so much? Eventually, everyone recognizes they aren’t always (or even often) the best version of themselves and then they have to face the reason why that’s so. Maybe, though, it’s because we try to go about change in all the wrong ways. Maybe we stop ourselves at conversion and don’t continue to the conversation. This week, we’ll see ways to pursue healthy change – using the Transtheoretical Model of Change – in order to learn how to start doing that which we want to do.
