As we enter fall, we tend not to think about growth, but about harvest. But many things are planted in the fall so new roots can grow before the ground freezes solid. Pests and disease problems typically dwindle in fall, and in many regions, seasonal rains help give plants a solid start.

Our church family needs to put down some new roots of faith in order to strengthen and grow. Nurture our church with your faith and your love of Christ and do not let the weeds of dissent and doubt grow.

Consider Galatians 6:9 (NIV): Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
